The Future of Manufacturing at a Historic Site
From October 20 to 23, 2026, DMG MORI will present its latest manufacturing solutions at the “Open House Pleszew,” one of the company’s most traditional sites. The program covers the new Best fit (BX) portfolio, which provides an introduction to Machining Transformation (MX), and extends to high-end machining with process integration and automation. Combined with digital tools that increase efficiency from programming through to quality control, as well as comprehensive services, DMG MORI covers the entire metalworking process chain.
DMG MORI will exhibit 14 machines from its technology portfolio in Pleszew. The highlight is the DMV 160's first appearance on home ground. The locally manufactured machine celebrated its world premiere at AMB in Stuttgart just a few weeks ago. The new vertical milling machine is the latest addition to the BX portfolio. It is designed for specific machining tasks and offers high productivity and an attractive performance profile.
Best fit for vertical machining
Like all Best fit solutions, the DMV 160 stands out for its application-oriented equipment, high reliability, and rapid readiness for operation across a wide range of industries. The table can accommodate workpieces weighing up to 2,200 kg. The travels in the X, Y and Z axes measure 1,600 x 700 x 550 mm. During machining, the monolithic machine bed with solid castings and roller guideways in all axes provides an ideal foundation for consistently precise and productive milling and drilling. In combination with direct measuring systems and DirectDrive ball screw drives, positioning accuracies of 4 µm can be achieved.
The spindle selection is just as versatile as the range of applications. Available options include the inlineMASTER with 15,000 rpm, the speedMASTER with 15,000 rpm HT and 20,000 rpm, and the powerMASTER with 12,000 rpm for heavy-duty machining applications, delivering a maximum torque of 430 Nm. All spindles feature a BIG PLUS interface and come with a
36-month warranty.
Complete portfolio for every requirement
Alongside the DMV 160, the 5-axis machines of the DMX U series and the universal turning machines of the CLX series also represent the BX portfolio. At the same time, the NLX 2500|700 2nd Generation, the DMU 75 monoBLOCK 2nd Generation, and the NHX 5000 3rd Generation will bring maximum MX performance to the showroom in Pleszew.
The Turn & Mill Center CTX beta 450 TC, is a prime example of the possibilities offered by process integration. The exhibition’s machine portfolio will be rounded off by the LASERTEC 12 SLM from the additive manufacturing technology sector.
Flexible Automation and Digital Transformation
Representing DMG MORI’s automation portfolio, the Robo2Go 3rd Generation on the CTX beta 450 TC enables extended periods of unattended operation. Digital Transformation (DX) is also demonstrated by the “Interpolation Turning 2.0” technology cycle, which is now available for BX machines of the DMX U series.
For example, the cycle assists in the production of sealing surfaces that must not be milled. To do this, the tool edge performs a circular motion, with its orientation always directed toward the center of the circle. The cycle automatically controls axis synchronization and the toolpath for both external and internal machining operations.
Conclusion
From the “best-fit” entry-level solution with the DMV 160 to fully automated machining on the CTX beta 450 TC, the Open House in Pleszew demonstrates just how customized the path to machining transformation can be. Over the course of four days, visitors will experience the entire metalworking process chain. Together with experts from DMG MORI, they will develop tailor-made concepts for their manufacturing operations. DMG MORI’s services support them throughout the entire machine lifecycle, from training and maintenance to repairs and spare parts supply.
