Under the motto “Never Stop Manufacturing the Future,” DMG MORI will highlight the need for cost-effective and flexible manufacturing at AMB 2026 in Stuttgart (Hall 10). For the first time, the company’s trade show presentation will center on its BX solutions (Best Fit Machines), which combine proven machines into a cost-effective and standardized offering. Together with the established MX solutions for highly automated and digitized processes (Machining Transformation), the company thus offers a seamless, holistic portfolio that is precisely tailored to customers’ individual requirements, budgets, and levels of automation. Customers gain the flexibility to further develop their manufacturing operations throughout the entire machine lifecycle, from cost-effective entry-level solutions to highly automated production.
Flexibility Amid Rising Cost Pressures
Rising cost pressures, smaller batch sizes, and the need for skilled personnel are posing challenges for the manufacturing industry. The trend is shifting away from rigid, large-scale systems toward flexible, universal machines that can be automated step by step to meet specific needs. The Best Fit Machines combine globally proven, high-precision machine technology with a modular, ready-to-use product concept. The combination of proven technology, high availability, and long-term investment security is a key feature of the BX portfolio. The new 5-year warranty on selected core components also contributes to this. Depending on the machine type, it covers key components such as turnMASTER spindles, turretMASTER turrets, or the ERGOline X control panel. It provides additional planning certainty and reduces investment risk, particularly for SMEs and contract manufacturers. Among the BX highlights at the Stuttgart trade show are the new DMV 160 for vertical milling, the CLX 450 for turning, and the DMX 80 U for 5-axis machining. Most Best Fit Machines are compatible with the CELOS X control system, allowing companies to flexibly expand their initial investment with automation and digital modules at a later date. The machines then grow over time to meet the company’s evolving needs.

The Gear Package ALL IN 2.0 is an excellent example of this: With cycles such as gearBROACHING, job shops can, for example, produce sophisticated gear teeth on a CLX 450 without having to invest in a separate, expensive gear-cutting machine.
