Innovative turning solutions manufactured locally

DMG MORI Bergamo will present solutions for future-oriented turning at its in-house exhibition from June 9 to 11, 2026. Under the motto “Excellence Made in Italy,” the company will showcase machines manufactured in Italy, as well as concepts for digitization and efficient production processes. 18 machines will be on display in the nearly 1,300 m² showroom, including twelve from the Brembate di Sopra and Tortona plants—ranging from SPRINT and MULTISPRINT automatic turning machines to the NZ series, the NLX 2500|700 1. Generation, and the CTX 550. For the first time in Italy, DMG MORI is also presenting the NTX 2500 3. Generation turn & mill center as well as the DMU 60 eVo 2. Generation with the compact PH Cell 300 pallet handling system for cost-effective, flexible, and scalable automated production, designed for pallets with a transfer weight of up to 300 kg. The NZ TRE horizontal production turning center is being showcased with the Robo2Go Turning 2. Generation automation solution. The exhibition is complemented by solutions from DMQP partners HAIMER, Horn, Tungaloy, ALGRA, and FCS System. Technical seminars and factory tours round out the program.

With over 5,000 automatic multi-spindle machines installed, DMG MORI Bergamo is regarded as a European center of excellence for production turning.

DMG MORI Bergamo is regarded as a European center of excellence for automated turning. Following significant investments, the site has, since 2014, boasted state-of-the-art production facilities as well as a technology center where accomplished experts design innovative machining solutions for production turning. In key industries such as medical, automotive, and oil & gas, these solutions ensure productive manufacturing of complex workpieces even in times of increasing quality requirements. Over 5,000 installed production turning machines from the SPRINT, MULTISPRINT, and NZ platform attest to the success of this long-established plant.

In addition, applications in the energy sector are also playing an increasingly important role. Components for conventional and renewable energy sources, such as wind energy, place high demands on material processing, process reliability, and component quality—demands that the production turning machines and turn-mill centers from Bergamo are particularly well-suited to meet.

Productivity, precision, and fast turnaround times

With the models in the SPRINT and MULTISPRINT series, DMG MORI Bergamo has long demonstrated its expertise in production turning. Short cycle times, high precision, and absolute process reliability make these multi-spindle machines particularly valuable solutions for the high-volume production of complex turned parts. The NZ platform combines experience in production turning with maximum flexibility. Available as the NZ DUE, NZ TRE, and NZ QUATTRO, these modular turn & mill machines come with up to four machining units, including a B-axis, and can be customized with automation. DMG MORI Bergamo also manufactures the NLX 2500|700 in its first-generation configuration. Local production of this best-seller ensures short delivery times in Europe.

NTX 2500 3. Generation: Complete machining on all six sides in a single setup

NTX 2500 3. Generation from DMG MORI: 6-sided complete machining in a single setup for maximum precision and productivity.

When it comes to the efficient production of complex precision components, users in industries such as aviation and aerospace, medical, and die and mold rely on the versatile models of the NTX series. The robust NTX 2500 3. Generation, for example, ensures maximum productivity and accuracy.

Equipped with two highly rigid turnMASTER spindles, a compactMASTER spindle with a large swivel range, and a second tool carrier in the form of a turretMASTER turret, this turn & mill center offers maximum versatility for 6-sided complete machining. With a maximum turning diameter of up to ø 670 mm and a turning length of up to 1,530 mm, the working area provides ample space for a wide range of components. The compactMASTER turn & mill spindle moves +/- 150 mm in the Y-axis and allows machining at speeds of up to 20,000 rpm. New is the 60-month warranty on the turnMASTER spindle and the turretMASTER turret, similar to the 36-month warranty on the compactMASTER spindle—in both cases with unlimited spindle hours.

DMU 60 eVo 2. Generation: The Revolution in 5-Axis Universal Machining

The DMU 60 eVo 2. Generation with PH Cell 300 from DMG MORI sets new standards in 5-axis simultaneous machining of complex precision components. With the PH Cell 300, DMG MORI offers a compact pallet handling system for automated production with machining centers. The system allows for the flexible use of different pallet sizes and supports transfer weights of up to 300 kg.

With the DMU 60 eVo 2. Generation, DMG MORI is setting new standards in 5-axis simultaneous processing and establishing a milestone in precision and productivity. Building on its unique table kinematics, the proven machine concept has been fundamentally enhanced to meet the growing demands for accuracy, dynamics, and flexibility.

With an optional mill-turn table, the machine integrates manufacturing processes such as milling and turning, gear cutting using the gearSKIVING technology cycle, and grinding. This process integration transforms the DMU 60 eVo 2. Generation into a multifunctional machining solution that can be flexibly adapted to a wide range of requirements and industries, fully leveraging the potential of cutting-edge machining technology. Intelligent automation solutions optimize machine utilization around the clock as needed. Modern control options—a SINUMERIK ONE or a HEIDENHAIN TNC 7—on CELOS X pave the way for Digital Transformation (DX).
