From Solid Material to Perfect Molds
In numerous industries, high-quality molds are an essential part of the manufacturing process. Founded in 1978, OM.AS S.r.l., based in Rovato in northern Italy, has established itself as a prominent supplier in this field. Regional customers in the automotive, food, and pharmaceutical industries rely on the high-precision parts manufacturing and die and mold production capabilities of the 30-person team. The comprehensive range of services begins with support for customers’ development departments. Experienced specialists create efficient CAM programs. High-precision machining and finishing of the aluminum molds – often rotational molds – complete the process. OM.AS has been ensuring the precision of these complex workpieces since 1980 using machine tools from DMG MORI. Production today encompasses eleven models. Large gantry machines form the backbone of manufacturing. Three DMU 270 P and three DMU 210 P machines each operate around the clock.
