Founded in 1969 in Micheldorf, Austria, ifw mould tec GmbH develops and manufactures technically sophisticated, high-tech injection molds for plastic pipe fittings. The company specialises in mold designs optimized for short setup times, stable production, and high dimensional accuracy. With approximately 140 employees, the company produces complex molds for customers worldwide, serving key markets across Europe, the Americas, and parts of Asia. Its range of services extends from product development and prototype production through design, mold making, and in-house fine-tuning to support during production launch. A particular focus is large-scale mold making for pipe systems with diameters up to ø 1,500 mm. A unique selling point within the corporate group is its close ties to sister company ifw kunststofftechnik: This injection molding firm specializes in mass production and can manufacture both pilot runs and small batches for customers, ensuring a seamless transition from tooling to full-scale production. The trend toward ever-larger and more complex molds was pushing existing production capacity to its limits. This led to the investment in a DMU 210 P from DMG MORI. In 2025, a CTX beta 450 TC equipped with Robo2Go, a DMU 95 monoBLOCK, and a DMV 60 for the training workshop were also installed.
