As an experienced provider of training, DMG MORI has also engaged as a general strategic partner of WorldSkills Russia since 2013 and became a Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills International in 2016 continuing this engagement during the oncoming WorldSkills finals in Kazan from 22 to 27 August 2019. Being a Platinum Partner of this event involves provision of machining technology and special training courses for the preparation of WorldSkills participants at DMG MORI Academy. The education centers operating in partnership with DMG MORI proved in practice the effectiveness of the training programs.
In 2019, the world championship of skills takes place in Kazan and will attract an estimated 250,000 visitors from all over the world. 1,600 young participants from 60 countries are going to compete in 56 skills. 2,000 volunteers are going to support WorldSkills and around 1,000 journalists will cover the event with news and reports. On this international stage, DMG MORI is going to support the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 competitions as a Platinum Partner with machining technology and knowhow.
DMG MORI will provide 45 machines in total: 17 DMU 50 2nd Generation in CNC milling,16 CTX 310 ecoline in CNC Turning, and nine DMC 635 V ecoline in the Manufacturing Team Challenge as well as in Plastic Die Engineering. Additionally DMG MORI plays a major role at the Future Skills booth demonstrating new competencies that will be needed in future production processes.
The competition Reverse Engineering and 3D Prototyping DMG MORI will be supported with two LASERTEC 30 SLM 2nd Generation and the Digital Factory area will be equipped with a CTX beta 800 TC automated by a Robo2Go. All CNC machines are equipped with the intuitive CELOS operating system and the modern Siemens Sinumerik 840D Operate 4.7 control system.
Today, there is a great interest of educational institutions and enterprises worldwide in creating a comprehensive solution for personnel training in mechanical engineering. Based on the training centers established in educational institutions, advanced training is carried out for specialists working with high-tech CNC equipment. Such training centers contribute to introducing and developing new technologies at Russian enterprises. The DMG MORI Academy supports educational institutions with innovative concepts, products and services: from the machine tool through software solutions, to teaching aids. One of the DMG MORI Academy’s main objectives is training young professionals in order to pave the way into the future of work with latest machine tool technologies.
